Poem: REFLECTION | Dr.Achsah koshy

Many people passed by me
None even looked at me
I was looking for someone to pity me
But there was none I could see
I looked for Sympathy, but there was none
For comforters, but I found none.

When the intensity of pain
Reached beyond What I can bear alone
I heard someone talking to me
“Although I give you
The bread of adversity and Water of affliction
I will be hidden no more”

I could feel the touch of someone
Soft, loving, merciful, compassionate touch
I was amazed and my face filled with a smile
He was watching my situation afar
When he thought it reach beyond I can bear
His touch came to my life
When I looked at His face
I can see myself, reflection
I asked who you are?
Jesus, yes He is the good Samaritan indeed!

When He saw my wounds
He took pity on me
He took up my infirmities
He healed my wounds and restored my health
Anointed me with oil of joy
Then He told me, “Go and do likewise”.

Do to others as you would have them do
to you
An anxious heart weighs a man down
But a kind word cheers him up
A friend loves at all times
And a brother is born for adversity
Be strong to bear the infirmities of the weak

How great is the love he has lavished on me!
The One who remembered me in my low estate
The One who greater than my heart and knows
Everything
It was good for me to be afflicted
So that I might know you more Jesus
So I can reflect you more through my life, Jesus.
