Prawns-500gms
Marination
Turmeric-1tsp
Pepper-1tsp
Ginger garlic paste-1tsp
Kodumpuli/kokum-2pieces
Curry leaves
Salt as needed
Roast
Onion-1big sliced
Coconut pieces-few
Turmeric-1/2tsp
Chilly powder-2tsp
Pepper powder-1tsp
Coriander powder-2tsp
Fennel/perumjeerakam-1/2tsp powdered
Garam masala-1tsp
Curry leaves

Method
Take cleaned and deveined prawns and marinate with the ingredients given under marination and keep aside for four hours.
Add two tablespoons of water and cook the marinated prawns.Do not overcook.
Now heat coconut oil add onions and coconut pieces and sprinkle salt and saute till raw smell goes away and becomes golden.Now add the spice powders and curry leaves and saute.Add the cooked prawns and cover and cook for 5 minutes in low flame.Adjust salt.
Your mouth watering Kerala style prawn roast with coconut pieces is ready.
