Dreams– A way that God uses to reveal His great plans, even to children.

If your small child tells you that “Dad- Mom, I had a dream last night and I saw this, this and this, then I travelled to a place called this…”

How would you respond to your child?

You need to be very careful at this time, because whatever you will tell your child, he/she’ll believe it.

Your child might be very young in his/her age, but you need to understand that something very important God is doing in his/her life.

● First, age never matters to God. He can use anyone to convey His message to His people. And you should never send away your child by not giving him/her a satisfying reply.

● Second, you must understand immediately that God was speaking to the child through dreams or directly, as He spoke to Samuel, when he was so young.

Genesis chap- 37,
God showed Joseph dreams about what is going to happen in future. At that time, he was a young man of seventeen.
In the tenth verse, when he shared his second dream with his father and brothers, his father rebuked him.
Even though, he rebuked Joseph, but still those “dreams came to pass” in his life..

You should never rebuke or speak rashly to your children, whenever they share their dreams or visions or directly listening from God. You must believe in what they are sharing with you. If your children find you are not taking their dreams seriously, or if you rebuke them, then they will not feel like sharing with you their next ones..
Or may be they will also not take their dreams seriously..

“You need to be very sensitive about these things, when you are a born-again believer and living in Christ.”

The dreams that your child sees are the things God is showing you through him/her about your child or about a specific situation, or what is His purpose for your child’s life..

But if the dream is bad, that means God is showing you what devil is planning against you, or your child, then you need to pray for the protection of your children, and at the same time destroying devil’s plans as well.

A very important thing you need to do is to “dedicate your children wholeheartedly in God’s mighty hands,” and tell Him clearly that,
“O Lord, as we are dedicating our children, we thank You for their lives, we thank You for the fruit of the womb that You have blessed us with, we are giving them back to You, use them for Your glory. May Your grace, mercy, favor and love cover them and protect them all the days of their lives. Help them to grow in the Fear of the Lord, may they be filled with Your Heavenly knowledge, wisdom and understanding.. And may Your mighty name be glorified through them.. Lord, give them Your Heavenly desires in their hearts.., so they may learn and choose themselves to live for You. May they always remain faithful to You, and learn to be faithful as You are. May the Spirit of the living God Himself lead and guide them in all their ways.., according to Your perfect will for their lives.”
Amen and Amen!

While doing this, you are showing God that you trust Him fully.

Jeremiah 29 : 11
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Please don’t try to change God’s plan and purpose in your children’s lives.., instead be willing to stand with God and let Him fulfill His great purposes in their lives… May God bless you all!
