QUARANTINE or LOCKDOWN period has made humans think and value the blessings around them. Many have started being grateful for the immense blessing that has been there for us always. We should be fortunate enough to be part of this unprecedented situation which no one has seen over a century period. At the same time, we should make an effective use of this opportunity in hand to understand the purpose of this situation given to us by GOD.

For many, this has been a time of self-realization and meditation. Activities that go around during this lockdown like Bible quiz, song writing, memorizing verses, reciting Bible, etc. have become a daily routine for many to engage themselves. But there is a group out there who have started spending double or triple time sleeping or going through random social media apps like WhatsApp, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat, games, etc. I would like to encourage those groups to flatten the curve of time being wasted on worldly things and get back to the creator of the Universe.

A famous quote from Benjamin Franklin goes like this “Lost time is never found again.” So, invest your time in hand fruitfully so that it will build your character in the coming days. If needed use tools to evaluate or restrain yourself from these distractions by apps like parental monitoring, screen time, etc. Let this be a life-changing phase for you spiritually, physically, and mentally.

As it says in Galatians 3:26 ‘For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus’. God’s word advises His children to use our time wisely because He knows that there are many things in life that can distract us from what truly matters. Do not waste your precious time so that you may look back with regret – you do not know what tomorrow holds!
