“ALL OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS ARE AS FILTHY RAGS”

HA HA HA this is the first thing every Pentecostal says when it comes to do some charity…when even the common is striving to do something good, something inspirational or even encouraging…. .Even the nominal Christians, foreign Christians do a great deal of work in terms of service….. . But James speaks exactly about us in James 2:15 and 16, Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,”but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? Or specifically we use to say …have faith brother, we will pray … saying this we just flee from all our responsibilities. About us only Jesus said in Matthew 25:41-45, “Then He will say to those on His left, “Depart from Me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave Me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite Me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe Me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’ They also will answer,” Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?” He will reply, “Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for Me” Yaah… we Pentecostals who boast about knowing the nook and corner of the Bible forget about these very truths … when I think all these, this poem pops out in my mind i.e. “FORGET ABOUT…..”

Forget about doing big huge, charity works… We are not even ready to give up seats in metro or bus

Forget about being the LIGHT of the world We are not even lighting our staircase bulbs so that people won’t be helped Forget about being the Salt of the world We are not even sharing the heat to the one in cold

Forget about being a Good Samaritan

We are not even a good neighbor

Forget about giving up our LPG Subsidy

We are not thinking of our old buddy

Forget about Forgiving

We are not even remembering

Forget about serving the masses

We are not even serving the family

Forget about being a good Christian

We are not even a good human being

Yes, today we are GOD’S children just in words but in deeds too much far away …we think that

attending Sundays, giving tithe in time, holding fasting prayers, saying long prayers, eating in

cottage meetings will take us to eternity … TO US JAMES ask that don’t you know that WORK

WITHOUT FAITH IS DEAD

What we are doing is making us MODERN HYPOHRITES that’s it nothing else. We love our

Great GOD with words; if it has been with our hearts it would have been burdened/compassionate

for others .Yeah we are sharing the gospel at its best …. But actually Jesus asked us to be HIS

witness not to share His witness … in simple terms TO LOVE LORD AND SERVE THE

MASSES WE HAVE TO BE THE JESUS WHEREVER WE ARE.
