Emirates Christian Fellowship – Sharjah Bids Farewell to Pastor Gladson Varghese

Sharjah: Emirates Christian Fellowship (ECF) accorded a warm and sentimental send-off to Pastor Gladson Varghese following his voluntary resignation after years of dedicated pastoral service. Appointed initially for a three-year tenure from 2017 to 2020, Pastor Gladson continued to shepherd the congregation beyond his term, completing a total of eight years of faithful ministry.

During his tenure, he led the church through challenging and uncertain seasons, carrying full pastoral and administrative responsibility with steadfast commitment, wisdom, and sacrificial leadership.

The send-off was organized in view of his acceptance of broader Church of God (COG) assignments. The special service on 28th December was marked by gratitude, reflection, and prayer, acknowledging his pastoral leadership and spiritual impact on the ECF congregation.

The occasion was graced by Pastor Steve George, Senior Pastor of Kerala Christian Assembly, Toronto, who served as the main speaker and delivered an edifying message.

On this auspicious occasion, Pastor Gladson Varghese prayed and formally installed Pastor James Mathew as the new Pastor of Emirates Christian Fellowship, committing the future leadership of the church into God’s hands.

It was also announced that Pastor Gladson Varghese will continue his pastoral ministry as the Senior Pastor of Peniel Church of God Dubai, while taking on his responsibilities within the Church of God.

The ECF congregation expressed heartfelt appreciation for his years of selfless service and extended prayers and best wishes for his continued ministry and global assignments.
