International Conference in Riyadh Central Region Marks a Historic Celebration

Riyadh: The Church of God World Missions, Saudi Arabia, hosted a remarkable International Conference in Riyadh Central Region on August 22–23, 2025, which drew pastors, leaders, and believers from across the Gulf.

The conference was blessed by the ministry of Rev. Dr. Stephen Darnell (Field Director, Europe & Middle East), Sis. Janice Darnell (Women’s Ministry Director, Europe & Middle East), and Rev. Dr. Sushil Mathew (Regional Superintendent, Gulf Countries in Middle East), who served as the chief preachers. Their Spirit-filled sermons inspired and energized the gathering, addressing the unique challenges of ministry in the region.

The main message theme, “The Transformation of Benoni to Benjamin,” deeply motivated the crowd and filled the atmosphere with the Spirit, reminding all that God can turn sorrow into strength and destiny.

A special Pastor’s and Leaders Conference became the highlight of the event, where multicultural ministers shared their struggles in ministry. These concerns were thoughtfully addressed by the leaders with wisdom from Scripture and their own rich experiences in service.

The conference also featured powerful worship sessions led by renowned worship leaders Pastor Jill from the Philippines and Pastor Anil Adoor from India, alongside the talented COG Riyadh Region Worship Team. The heartfelt musical atmosphere lifted the congregation in unity and praise.

Pr. Reji George (Kadambanad), National Representative of COG KSA, coordinated the entire event successfully, ensuring smooth execution. Pastor Che, the Filipino Coordinator for KSA, actively participated in the conference alongside Pastor Reji George, and both were specially appreciated by the leadership for their valuable contributions. All the honored guests were presented with mementos as tokens of gratitude and recognition.

A truly historic moment during the conference was the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the first Filipino Church in Saudi Arabia, on 22nd Friday morning – a testimony to God’s faithfulness over the years.

This international gathering was graciously hosted by (Absentia) Rev. Rajan Samuel, National Overseer, KSA, and proved to be a milestone in strengthening the unity, mission, and vision of the Church of God in the Gulf region.
