ARTICLE: CAMPUS LIFE OF A GODLY CHILD | Gracy Baiju

B
eing a youth it becomes difficult to cope up with the current environment which we have to go through when we are in one of the most important part of our life, ‘the campus life’.
Being a Child of God it becomes a challenge for us to survive on campus. We meet new people, new environment, new challenges, new habits, new temptations etc. its very easy to go astray and adapt into the environment which is not at all godly. But this is where our fight begins.

As written in,
1 Timothy 6:12
“FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT OF FAITH”

In order to fight the good fight we need to outstand all the attractiveness of the world. We need to understand that we are not of this world and we have to lead a life which sets an example for other people. We need to attract people for Christ.

For us being god’s chosen generation, its not just about studies. We have a greater call. We are placed in a particular college or school so that we can fulfil gods will through our lives and fulfil his commandments. Our greatest duty is to win souls for Christ and we being students, we meet so many young people around us. It is our responsibility to bring them to Christ.

Before that, we ourselves need to be firm in Christ and should always depend on the Holy Spirit before taking each step in our daily lives.

We need to make sure that our lives be a pleasing sacrifice to Christ.

We see how young people fall into certain temptations and end up in depression, anxiety and even taking certain harsh steps in their lives. This happens because they don’t have Jesus. They don’t have the living hope. Jesus is the solution to all of our problems, to all of our worries.
We should be the ones who take the burden to pray for such souls and give them the living hope and show them the way of life.
There are times where Satan wants us, god’s children to fall and so he brings certain temptations in our lives. But we need to know that he can do nothing if we bind ourselves with the chords of prayer.

As the bible says in,
Mark 14:38
Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

Satan works in crooked ways. He creates certain situation where we unknowingly enter into sin. Thus, it is very important for us to fight those temptations. Prayer is the best way to escape those temptations. We need the holy spirit to be our guide in our daily lives. Because we alone are weak but our strength comes from the lord.

We have to choose the road which is not taken by many. The road taken by the world will be tempting and very easy to travel on but that’s the way which leads to the eternal hell.

Romans 12:2
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Manier times this happens where we find ourselves in a situation where our call may differ from that of this world. This is the time where god sees our dedication for his will to be fulfilled in our lives.
As quoted by -Henry ford
“When everything seems to be going against you, remember that the airplane takes off against the wind, not with it.’”
We may feel that if we take the ‘road not taken’ then we won’t be able to cope up with the people around us or we will be left behind alone or people may go against us. But we need to remember that when the whole world stands against us, we have Jesus who stands for us. He will never leave us nor forsake us. He is the way maker, miracle worker, promise keeper, our light in the darkness.

The day we understand his unconditional love for us, it will be a beautiful journey through the ‘Road not Taken’.
