Article: JESUS Is Tested in the Wilderness | Sheeba Robinson, Nagpur

1. First Test:
When Jesus started His ministry and as His days of fasting finished, satan came there to tempt Jesus.
This time satan didn’t send any of his people to do the work, because he knew that Jesus was not a normal person and that He is the Son of God.., so satan came himself to tempt Jesus.

Matthew 4: 3, 4
The tempter came to Him and said “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”
Then Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God’.”

Just see that by discerning satan’s intentions, how powerfully Jesus could gave him this answer.
Even after knowing that Jesus is the Son of God, and none of his plans are going to succeed here.. still he dared to tempt Jesus, then “what do we think that he’ll not/ cannot tempt us, dear children of God..?” But here, he can take it very easy with the people of God. satan sends his people with very smart ideas to reach God’s children. Very tactfully they befriend them and become a close part of their lives. Then keeping very close relations they try to make God’s people to spill out their secrets including family and marriage as well. And with all these, satan gives new ideas, which look very pleasing for anyone to follow at once..
satan will be successful in achieving his goals, “only if God’s people are ignorant about knowing nothing or very little about the people, who satan had planted in their lives with evil agendas.”

And God’s people’s story will be very different from what you’ve just read above..,
“if you are also standing firm just like Jesus stood in His tempting times and also have the knowledge of discernment just like Jesus did, then all the plans and tactics of the devil will come to nothing.”

If you know and learn, how not to follow devil’s advice and how to stand against him.., then it is written in James 4: 7
“Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

The way Jesus submitted Himself to His Father, same way you must be fully submitted to God. Then you will also be able to resist the devil and he will flee from you.

Don’t think that he’ll come and stand in front of you as we see in the pictures or videos that he was standing near to Jesus and testing Him. No, my dear friend.

When satan came to test Jesus, He felt in the Spirit that satan had come.
satan comes silently and very smartly he whispers negative thoughts in people’s ears and makes them to feel discouraged/ unloved/ disappointed and many negative feelings like, “nobody loves me, nobody cares for me, nobody appreciates me, I’m all alone, nobody speaks kind words to me.”

And with all these negative feelings you start to become anxious and cry and start blaming and fighting for all the wrong things, and you start feeling very low and miserable about yourself..
And you know what, seeing you going through all these troubles, satan enjoys with clapping hands standing just beside you. And by doing like this, you open doors for satan to enter into your life. May be you did this in your ignorance, but satan will take a hold in your life and make your life really miserable.

Being a Child of God, in that particular moment you even forget who you are in Christ. “How God loves you so much that He gave His one and only Son, that by believing in Him you shall not perish but have eternal life.” You are never alone when you are a Child of God. You are still alive and safe, that is the biggest proof of God’s love and protection.

“AS GOD’S CHILDREN, WHEN YOU THINK ALL THESE NEGATIVE THOUGHTS AND CRY FOR WRONG REASONS.., JUST KNOW THIS TRUTH THAT YOU ARE HURTING GOD’S FEELINGS AND QUESTIONING HIS DIVINE LOVE AND PROTECTION FOR YOU.”

All these will never happen to you if you have a clear understanding that how you should take a stand when satan silently comes to test you.. he can bring temptations in your life physical way and spiritual as well..

2. Second Test:
Matthew 4: 6,
“If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written: “He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.”

You must know one thing very importantly that satan is a strategic player.. he knows each and every word written in the Holy Bible.. he went to test Jesus and quoted the Bible verses as we read above.

3. Third test:
In the same chapter verses 8- 10,
satan showed Jesus all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.” Jesus said to him, “Away from me, satan!”

Just imagine somebody comes to you, who is assigned and sent by satan to trick you and make you join him without you being aware of the reality.. and he will show you all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor and will say to you, “All these I will give you, I’ll appoint you The CEO of our company, we are the best and the most growing company in the world, I’ll pay you the most handsome salary package you could ever imagine, if you just do this little work for me or listen to me or stand with me or just deny your faith or just be in my company.”

Q. What would be your answer?

Q. Will it be possible for you to discern in the Spirit, as Jesus did.., and rebuke the devil and cast it out from your way?

Q. Will you be able to recognize the evil intentions of this person?

Q. Will it be possible for you to find out with the help of the Holy Spirit that it’s not this person who is doing wrong but he’s getting used by devil to destroy your entire life and your eternity as well?

Q. Do you think that you are ready for this spiritual warfare?

Dear friends, The Spirit of the Living God inspired me to write this to you, for He wants God’s people to learn to resist the devil in both physical and spiritual ways. Not only just to learn but also to understand it and use it to make satan flee away from you.. and to bring glory to the Most High God through your precious life.
Thank you and God bless all!
