Article: The God Who Never Left Us | Christeena Gladson

“2025 – wow, it slipped through our fingers faster than we realised, and now we look ahead, waiting for 2026 with a mix of gratitude, wonder, and hope.”
Take a moment…
Close your eyes if you can.
Let silence sit on your heart.
Feel the weight of the year — not to overwhelm you, but to remind you of one truth:
You made it because God held you.
Think of the nights you cried quietly, hoping no one would notice.
Think of the days you smiled on the outside but felt tired on the inside.
Think of the moments you wished things were different, when you whispered prayers that felt like they disappeared in the air.
Yet every single time, even when you didn’t feel Him…
He was right there.
This year was not picture-perfect for any of us.
Some of us lost someone who meant the world.
Some of us had dreams that slipped through our fingers.
Some battled loneliness, fear, uncertainty, or the silent ache of waiting.
Some faced doors that shut painfully, plans that fell apart, or news that shook the heart.
But here is the miracle:
You never walked alone.
You may not have seen Him every day, but He saw you — every tear, every sigh, every fear, every step.
He walked beside you when you felt empty.
He lifted you when you were sinking.
He held you together when life tried to tear you apart.
He spoke strength into your bones when you felt like giving up.
And when you felt too tired to pray…
He prayed for you.
When you didn’t know the way…
He guided your steps.
When your heart broke…
He gathered the pieces tenderly.
When you lost your way…
He found you again.
He whispered in the silence:
“My child, I have never left you. Even when you didn’t feel Me, I was carrying you. You are written on My palms. You are held in My heart. I will never let you go.”
Yes, your plans may have failed — but His purpose didn’t.
Yes, you may have lost some things — but not His presence.
Yes, the year may have shaken you — but it didn’t break what God is building in you.
The fact that you are reading this, breathing, standing, hoping again —
this is proof of His faithfulness.
You survived heartbreaks you thought would destroy you.
You walked through days you thought you couldn’t endure.
You overcame battles no one even knew you were fighting.
You stood up again — not because you were strong,
but because God never let you fall too far.
This year, His grace has been the arms beneath you,
His love the shield around you,
His purpose the anchor holding you steady.
So as this year comes to a close, pause for one moment.
Look back — not to relive the pain,
but to recognize the fingerprints of God all over your journey.
Find one thing — just one — where you can honestly say:
“God, that was You. Only You.”
Let your heart whisper its gratitude:
“Lord… thank You for never leaving me. Thank You for carrying me through what I could not carry alone.”
Because the truth is simple yet profound:
If not for Him, we would not be here.
Let’s hold onto , Psalm 65:11
“You crown the year with Your goodness,
and Your paths drip with abundance.”
