Poem: Oh! What a Joy in Knowing Christ | Sherin Anila Sam

A love that lavished upon me, a love that came down just for me forsaking all His glory in heaven to bring me back to His abode of grace and truth, a love that was so wild that He gave up His life to give me life, a love that called me His own, a love that brought me back to where I belonged.

‭‭John‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭NIV‬‬ | “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life”.

I was wandering in the wilderness, carried away by the winds of this world
Not knowing I was going into the depths of hell
Sin blinded my eyes, it darkened my soul.
Oh, how I was lured by the glamour of this world.

My heart cried for how wretch I am
Who can save me from this sin
But when I met Jesus, when I looked at him
Hanging on the Cross for me

Oh what a joy I received in knowing Christ my Lord
He took away my sins and made me clean.
He saved me and gave me a new life.
My heart rejoices with gladness for his mercy and grace
My soul lifts up my praise to the Most Holy One.

Now I am joyful and ever rejoicing.
I am forever grateful and happy
For Jesus gave me eternal life
I am His and He is mine

My soul awaits for my Lords coming
My heart waits to meet Jesus on the throne
My eternal being waits to magnify my Lord in Heaven.
Praise be to His Name forever and ever.  Amen
