GOD IS IN CONTROL
When life’s uncertainties and challenges arise, doubts and questions about God’s ways can creep in, even for those who faithfully read scripture, pray and worship.Yet, in the midst of uncertainty, we can cling to the promise that God works all things for our good (Jeremiah 29:11). As we wait upon Him, we can trust that His plans are designed to prosper us, not to harm us, and nothing is too hard for Him to accomplish. In this trust, we can worship Him for who He is, even when we don’t understand the path ahead. Let’s take a look at an example from the bible, specifically from the book of Habakkuk. He questioned God about the evil that befell God’s people. God’s response encourages Habakkuk to trust in His sovereignty, despite uncertainty. Ultimately, Habakkuk’s story shows that he comes to a place of trust and worship, affirming God’s goodness even in difficult circumstances. There are times in our lives when we feel overwhelmed, and circumstances around us seem to contradict our desires. In those moments, God invites us to trust Him, knowing that all things work together for good to those who love God, who are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). We serve a God who can move mountains, the situations we face are not too hard for Him to reverse. However, God wants to see, if we can trust Him even when circumstances seem unfavorable. When we seek His guidance in those moments, He will provide direction, peace and confirmation that ultimate victory belongs to His people. Our current situation is not our final destination, it’s merely the path leading us there. Just as the road to heaven is narrow (Mathew 7:14), the path to victory can be challenging, but the trials we face today will become testimonies of God’s faithfulness tomorrow, giving us reason to praise Him for guiding us to victory and fulfilling His purpose. When we face difficulties, we can trust God and wait upon the Lord. Those who wait for the Lord will renew their strength and rise up like eagles (Isaiah 40:31). No problem is too hard for our God to solve. Ultimately, all who see us will acknowledge that we are a people the Lord has blessed (Isaiah 61:9). This is what God wants to reveal through us, His faithfulness, love and power. Let’s trust Him and worship Him for who He is, even in difficult times, so that God can reveal His plans through us and make us a blessing not only for ourselves but also for others. The God who created us, the Lord of the universe, is with us. He has a plan to prosper us, not to harm us. God is in control of all the situations we face today. Let’s trust Him and surrender to His will.
