ARTICLE: GIVE TO GOD WHAT IS OURS | JOEMON EDEN KURISINGAL
When emptiness is revealed in all of our lives, there will be a sense of loss and despair; Don’t you still wish there was someone to fill the void in our lives? Once upon the shores of the lake of Gennesaret there was emptiness
“Patros” who is the only one in life who is the only one who has his own boat, in the net and in the mind, was respected by the Lord in front of his colleagues. What happened to Peter, who had a correct understanding of the sea and the coming of the fishes, was that he needed the help of another to know the paths of the fishes that travel “in the depths of the sea”; When we need change in our life, there is someone who recognizes our “emptiness” and that person will be the one who will give us a permanent solution to all our problems. Peter needed someone to give him the right direction in his life. If we want God to do something for us in life, we have to fulfill certain conditions. Many times our conditions may change, but when God makes some corrections in us, if we obey without asking any questions, miracles will happen. The Lord, who understood the emptiness of Peter, said only one guide line.
For changes in life “Peter’s attention was turned to what was his own, and the Lord understood the need, importance, and concern of that boat.
Sometimes when God begins to do miracles in us, He tells us very precisely what changes we need to make in our lives. What was said to Peter was not with words, but with a heartfelt intervention.
When it was time for Peter’s life to change, the Lord stepped into his own boat and divine interventions happen in things that we do not give priority to in some cases.
God’s intervention only happens in what we own, but when we allow it, big changes begin to happen. Once when he came to this earth as a man (Jew) in disguise, “Jesus did not even want to accept his own community, yet how many times he wanted to hold his own children together.
The Lord’s attention is sought on what is claimed as ours, when God intervenes in our lives nothing else should be in our lives, just before Peter’s life became a miracle some arrangement happened. Although the two boats caught Jesus’ attention, Luke’s Gospel 5: 4-11 vs reads that “he got into the one belonging to Simon”, his life became the place of the Lord, those who were with him began to listen, even when his mind said that there was no use, when Peter gave up the boat for God’s sake, when Peter realized what the potential was, his boat moved and changed. Understandably, God chose us to be who we are today; God’s will is not only to perform some miracle for God but also to become useful for God until the end. But when Peter gave up his own, his hope increased. When the Lord finished speaking, he revealed to Peter the “depth of divine action”, and we have to understand the depth of faith when we start some changes in our lives. Some of the good things that were struck in life got stuck in Peter’s net like a package. In one night, the Lord rewrote all the pain, fatigue, and disappointment that he felt for you with one word. Once only the boat and the net were his own. The Lord, who spoke heartily, showed that he is always with us even when we are with him. God will give us enough good things to give to those who point their fingers at our lives. This is what ordinary Peter says through his experience.
