Recipe: Murgh Do Pyaza

Chicken-500gms
Marination
Turmeric-a pinch
Chilly powder-1/2 tsp
Ginger garlic paste-1/2tsp
Salt as required
Gravy
Onions cubed-3
Ginger garlic paste-1/2tsp
Tomato puree-(from 2 medium sized tomatoes)
Yoghurt-1/4cup
Turmeric-a pinch
Chilly powder-2tsp
Coriander powder-4tbsps
Cumin seeds-1tsp
Garam masala-1tsp
Shallots-6 sliced
Garnish(optional)
Ginger
Onion
Coriander leaves
Method
Marinate chicken pieces with the ingredients given under marination for 3 to 4 hours.
After marination heat oil in a wide pan..add ginger garlic paste and saute till raw smell goes away and
add cubed onions and saute till slightly golden brown.Then add pureed tomato saute for 5 minutes..add turmeric and chilly powder saute till oil seperates.Then add yoghurt coriander powder garam masala and cumin seeds and add marinated chicken pieces and mix well and add half a cup of water and cook in low flame till tender.Add sliced shallots and mix and cover and cook.
Switch off flame once done and sprinkle a pinch of garam masala throughout and mix.
Garnish with your choice and serve?Yum?
